DEEYA NATARAJAN

Funding Senses,
Vice President

Deeya Natarajan is a 16 year old high school student based in Virginia, United States. Her hobbies and passions include practicing Piano, dancing Bharatanatyam, and exploring Law and Public Policy.

In the 9th grade, Deeya participated in a protest for Women's Rights after the overturning of Roe v. Wade. She was able to advocate for those who did not have a voice in fighting for their rights. Through this experience, Deeya learned the importance of helping her community and wanted to continue to do so. She is now and avid protester when it comes to topics that deeply concern her.

Through various school activities, Deeya has been able to explore her passions of Law and Community Service.  She is currently Vice President of Funding Senses, an organization aimed to supply aid to those diagnosed with Auditory Processing Disorder, Visual Processing Disorder, and Speech Therapy needs. She has helped raise over 10,000 dollars for the organization alone. She has won awards in National History Day Competitions, as well as competed in several Model U.N competitions. She has also worked with politicians in campaign management. This gives her the experience needed to create solutions in tackling some of the world’s most challenging tasks.

In the future, Deeya hopes to attend a university where she can pursue her interests in Law and Public Policy. She would love to become a Civil Rights lawyer to advocate for those who might not have the opportunity to defend themselves.
